Emirati Freelancers' Online Portal

Emirati Freelancers' Online Portal

Freelancing has become increasingly popular in the UAE with more and more Emiratis choosing to work from home instead of commuting to an office every day. With their growing number, Emirati freelancers have been left without an online portal where they can share experiences and connect with each other – until now! Emfansy are working on creating the first Emirati Freelancers' Online Portal, which will provide freelancers with a place to not only find jobs but also offer advice and make connections with other like-minded people in the community.

Why an online portal?

The majority of freelance marketplaces in Dubai are catered towards expats and have Emiratis as an afterthought. Therefore, they lack Emirati-specific knowledge and custom solutions that relate to our needs. By creating a platform specifically for UAE nationals (both freelancers and clients), we would be able to develop solutions that specifically meet their needs. There is also a cultural barrier for Emiratis using services like Upwork, as it does not align with our business culture; therefore, there is a great deal of information asymmetry between them and employers, which would make it hard for Emiratis to enter certain fields such as marketing or sales through such services. However, an online portal tailored to suit Emirati freelancers’ needs will help close these gaps.

What is an online portal?

An online portal is a website that brings together information and resources from a variety of sources for people to explore. It's usually created for use by users who are members of an organization or community, such as freelancers or students. An online portal allows users to navigate through available content quickly, making it easier for them to find what they need. If you want your platform to help Emirati freelancers connect, why not consider creating an online portal? You can publish relevant information and resources in one place, helping Emirati freelancers find exactly what they're looking for while also showcasing everything your platform has to offer. To start off on the right foot, focus on three main goals: attracting potential users; providing relevant content; and encouraging engagement among members. For example, if you were creating an online portal for medical professionals, your goals might be to attract doctors, provide helpful articles about new treatments and procedures, and encourage engagement with social media integration.

How it works

The portal will be an online directory of freelancers. Companies can post project details and freelancers can bid for these projects by giving their estimate. It will allow companies to post requests (e.g. logo design, web development, etc.) and would-be freelancers will bid on those projects, perhaps indicating different prices for different types of work or various specializations; companies may ask for a proof of skill by providing a sample task which would be assigned by the system to that user based on that company's predefined criteria (e.g., skills required). Project descriptions should list what tasks are expected as well as time estimates and payment terms (plus any additional relevant info, e.g. if it is a one-time project or if there is potential for future business). Users must register in order to use the site, but only companies need pay. Users must also specify their location and availability (i.e., days/hours they're available) so that potential employers can contact them directly rather than posting a general request and getting hundreds of responses from users who aren't available at all times. If users want to remain anonymous then they can specify anonymous as their location so that other users cannot contact them directly unless they have already been contacted by someone else interested in hiring them first.

The benefits of joining, as a freelancer

While being your own boss has its perks, freelancing is hard work. But you may find that earning a living on your own terms also comes with a lot of other benefits. In addition to setting your own schedule and doing work that inspires you, freelancing allows you to reap financial rewards in creative ways. For example, if you can afford it, consider outsourcing jobs to other freelancers who don’t have as much experience as you do. For jobs like graphic design or writing where consistency is important, consider hiring someone for a flat fee for each job rather than paying by hour. This will allow you to keep costs down while still getting high-quality results. And, when you outsource projects to others, you’ll be able to take advantage of other freelance opportunities more easily—allowing you to earn money from multiple sources at once. Finally, because most freelancers are self-employed and work independently from home, they are often able to avoid costly office overhead expenses—which means more profit for them!

The benefits of joining, as an employer: Hiring freelancers is a great way for small businesses to get what they need done without breaking their budgets. And by working with experienced professionals instead of employees (who might require training), businesses can save money and time that would otherwise be spent trying to get new hires up-to-speed on how things are done around there.

The benefits of using it, as a client

You’re in a highly competitive, fast-paced industry with lots of demands. It’s difficult to build your reputation and you can’t afford to hire people who don’t deliver. An online portal that matches clients and freelancers helps speed up onboarding (because there's already proof that they can work together) as well as ensure quality control by having independent freelancers review every project before it goes live. You'll also have access to high-quality leads; if you aren't getting quality applications on your own, hiring through an online portal will net higher-quality applicants from a diverse pool. This is particularly important when dealing with cross-cultural clientele.
